We've had some impressive storms in Northern utah over the last few days. I caught this image of clouds moving through Taylor Canyon near Ogden during a brief break in the rain.

Making the Grade - Episode 3

The third episode in the "Making the Grade" documentary series is now online. For this episode, I spent time down the street in Central Ogden and in rural communities on the Utah-Idaho border in order to look at the outside community factors influencing education. You can watch previous episodes from the series on school grading and early childhood education. New episodes will be published every Monday by the Standard-Examiner.

The second episode of the "Making the Grade" documentary series has just been published. "Making the Grade" is a six-part series looking at education issues in Northern Utah. This episode looks at early-childhood education both locally and nationally. New episodes will be coming out every week at the Standard-Examiner through the end of the school year. Making the Grade - Episode 1

For the last few months, I've been working on a documentary series for the Standard-Examiner covering education in Northern Utah.  The series features six videos on different topics facing local schools and families. The first episode is up now and you can see watch it below.

You may have noticed that the posts have been fairly thin on the blog over the last few months. Now you can see why. Since January, I've been working on a new documentary series for the Standard Examiner. We put out the trailer today. Take a look below.

The benefit to working late is that I have great view of the mountains from the office. After last night's storm, the sun cut through to the mountains for a few minutes and I was able to run out and get these shots.

Ben Lomond After the Snow

Despite the warm temperatures in town, we got a dusting of snow in the mountains in Northern Utah last night. I got this photo of Ben Lomond Peak just after sunrise this morning.
