Hell's Hollow in the Fall

I posted a photo yesterday of the aspen in Hell's Hollow. As promised, here are more images from that day. This weekend is probably the tail end of the fall colors up there, and it was quite beautiful. Enjoy the photos.

Uinta Night Sky

Despite a very rainy week, I was surprised to find a clear and moonless sky while camping up in the Uinta Mountains over the weekend. The stars up there were amazing and I caught a few photos before clouds rolled in for the rest of the weekend.

Highlights From 2013

I made it through 2013 and thought I would share a few of the photo highlights from the last year. Many of these images are from my first year shooting for the Standard-Examiner in Northern Utah. Looking forward to what 2014 brings. Enjoy.

A Wide Look at Fall

I just wanted to post a few photos from the last couple weeks that I've just recently had time to edit. Enjoy the photos and the weekend.

Mt. Watson Reflection

With winter setting in, the weather up here has been very calm and crisp in the mornings. This weekend I went up to the Uinta Mountains and played around with reflections in a few back country lakes before a late morning breeze broke up the water. The image below is obviously flipped.

Brush Creek Caves

Last weekend I had a chance to explore Little Brush Creek and Big Brush Creek Caves in Eastern Utah. Little Brush is the longest cave in the state at around 5 miles in length, though we were only exploring part of it. Big Brush is a bit shorter, but an absolute maze (and in my opinion, it was my favorite cave of the weekend.) After the last few posts, these will be my last cave photos for a while. Enjoy.

Leaving the Cave

I spent last weekend with cavers from around Utah and Colorado exploring some of the underside of the Eastern Utah. I'll have more photos form the trip in a day or two, but for now I wanted to at least share this image that I shot while leaving Big Brush Creek Cave.

By coincidence, while I was out on the caving campout, I had photos and an article on Northern Utah caves published. You can see highlights here.
