March Highlights

Looks like I've only been loading landscape/cityscape photos on the blog for the last few weeks. To try and right that, here are some of my favorite photos shot over the last month at the Standard-Examiner.

The new class, where students find woodworking projects and designs on Pinterest, was established last semester as a way to encourage more girls to get into manufacturing courses.

Firefighters battle the flames at the Ogden Cold Storage warehouse complex in West Ogden on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Firefighters responded to a call at the abandoned warehouse at around 1:30AM and worked as the fire spread through a set of seven interconnected warehouses.

Jason Richburg served in the Army for 17 years. In 2003, he was injured in an IED blast in Iraq. He eventually lost his leg and now suffers from PTSD. With major surgeries possibly coming soon, Richburg recently got a service dog. "It was time to swallow my pride and let him assist me," says Richburg.

David Smith walks down US Highway 89 near Perry with the homemade cross that he is carrying from his home in Cache Valley to General Conference in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Smith has led a life filled with impressive physical feats, from working as a human cannonball to going on distance bike treks. He sees his current walk as a simple way to "bring a lot of attention to Christ."
