Softball Championships

I spent several days last week photographing the high school state softball championships. While the action is similar to any other game during the season, emotions were running high. Below are some of the photos I shot in the moments of celebration and defeat. More photos can be seen here and here.

A Great Blue Heron and Sumo Wrestling Robot Walk into a Science Fair...

Everything fell together last week and I was able to create three short science videos for work over the past week. Between a couple of science fairs and the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival, I was able to embrace my inner (and outer) science nerd.

Road Biking Nationals

This past weekend, the college road biking nationals were held in Ogden. Sadly, I was only in town for one of the three days, but here are some photos from the team time trials on Antelope Island. You can view more photos from the day here. You can also see photos from Saturday and Sunday that my colleagues shot.

Rain Delay

Despite heavy rain, I went down to Roy this week to cover a high school baseball game. After a rain delay, the game was cancelled, but I enjoyed some of the photos that came from the "non-event"

Ogden Trails Network Shin-Dig

I recently photographed a fundraiser for the Ogden Trails Network at The Front climbing gym here in Ogden. It was my first time there, and I can't think of many places with better light. I've included a few photos below and you can see more here.

Utah Coyote Bounty

I recently wrote an article on the coyote bounty program here in Utah. The state recently introduced a new predator control program to try and increase mule deer populations through the Mule Deer Protection Act. Through the act, hunters and trappers can get $50 for every coyote scalp that they turn in. You can read the article and view more photos here. A few of the images I shot for the story are below.
